About the project

Goal

Harmon Louvette draws from multiple cultural and typographic references. The graphic language pays homage to Tress Atrissi’s Chess (2003), while the project’s name references Beth Harmon, the protagonist of The Queen’s Gambit. Typographically, the work is inspired by the Louvette typeface by C.J. Dunn, reinterpreting its forms through a contemporary, experimental lens.
